NS5 and NS6

Hi support-type folks,

This probably isn't the right place on the forum for this, but I can't find a better one.

Lately ns5 and ns5 have been having some problems. Can you share with us what is causing these errors? We have a resellers contract, and when you folks have inconsistent service, it reflects on our company.

Please let us know what kinds of problems are happening so we can assess our hosting needs, and whether or not we need to change the package we have with you.

Hello,
Yes sure, that was one of our clients who tried to execute a heavy loaded cron job each 1 seconds. Usually in such cases it take almost 12 hours to restore such a server from backup, but we did it by finding him and disabling his script.
We are working on a system to protect our servers from such problems, Please accept our apologize for this inconvenience,

I as well have a concern about these servers being down as often as they are. I use my domain email address as my main email and I am missing many emails due to this downtime. I would think and hope that these servers get upgraded or replaced if that is what needs to be done to help keep more uptime than what I am seeing currently.

Not sure I can recommend this webhosting service while experiencing such downtime and costly missed emails. Hope this gets better soon,

I see that my mail is despooling again, but not all my sites are up yet.

My server is up and running again. But the system clock shows the time incorrectly (-3hr). I am running forums that really depend on correct system time.

Please check.

This has gotten absurd.

We are a reseller which means we are affected beyond just our own site.

We can't get any help, and we have no answers for our clients...

This supposed restoration from a "backup" has left some of our clients' sites not working--which means lost money to them--and our reseller control panel doesn't exist--we get a regular old single-site admin.

Why aren't you servicing your customers as if they are important to you?

sorry to rant, but my clients' sites have been unstable or completely gone for almost 2 days now. That's not acceptible.

Why weren't you prepared for something like this? A hard-drive failing isn't something that should disable a web host. Where's the redundancy?

I'm unfortunately leaving the US for a month, so my internet access will be extremely spotty and my ability to service my clients quite diminished. Once I return, however, I will seriously investigate and consider switching hosts unless I can receive some sign from Dayana that you are making efforst to improve the service you are offering... so that we, in turn, can feel confident in what we are offering our clients.

Your failures mar our reputation just as much as it mars your.

Please fix this.

Hello all,

As you may know this kind of problems may happen any time to any computer system, we just did our best to solve all of them and bring everything back.
We know how much is important to have a good uptime, but sometimes it's out of hand. Hard crash, power supply damage, and finally cpanel licensing server which goes down each year and that must be just on our update.
Anyway, 60 hours no sleep to fix the problem, serve you and your clients and finally these comments. May be you need to check other providers as well.
We did and we always do our best.
